On Friday March 13th 2020, members of the Santa Cruz tech community pulled together with a goal of helping our greater community through the Covid-19 crisis. All of our public schools had been closed and the county was scrambling to get teachers setup for distance learning and to get the kids connected.
Cruz One was born from this late night chat, and in one weekend a response team was assembled and connected through stack of technology tools. A website and support platform was assembled as a one stop shop for technical support.
